I am a San Antonio-based photographer who has been shooting since the early ‘80s. My first experience as an artist was in High School where my instructor encouraged me to build and submit my first portfolio for a contest. It was there that I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in photography when I was accepted by portfolio review to the University of Delaware Governor’s School for Excellence. Followed the next summer by earning a partial scholarship and admittance to a summer program at Parsons School of Design in NYC. Afterward, managing to keep Photography as a hobby, I spent many years following my husband from army post to army post, raising my 2 girls and working full time.

I returned later in life to pursue photography as a career and went on to study photography and graduated from the New York Institute of Photography. I currently work from San Antonio, Texas, and travel as often as possible to other locations. I have had the fortune as an army wife to travel, and meet incredible people who inspired and pushed me.

I am continually devoting more time to my art and passion for photography. Including being able to spend more time submitting to magazines and various contests which I have happily been chosen for a few awards and become a recurring contributor to a few magazines. I still work full time so photography is my side gig but always my first passion. I keep reminding myself that you are never too old to follow your dreams and keep moving forward.
